a typical session

Art therapy involves using art materials during your therapy session. This may feel odd and a bit embarrassing to start with. Over time this will help you to express and to explore your inner world as well as your relationships with others.
The Art made in therapy varies and can include drawing and painting, collage and sculpture. It will be your choice and a range of art materials will be available for you to explore and experiment with should you choose to do so.
The process of art making may help you to become more aware of thoughts and feelings and this can be as important as the picture or object you make. Each session usually comprises some art making and time to talk. Art making is not compulsory but it does help.

A sand tray is also available for your use.
